Youth Inclusion Support Project (YISP)
ACT CIC has also had to adapt our way of working to continue to meet the needs of the young people we work with and organisations we support during COVID19 and the Lockdown.
With the support of Birmingham City Council and the Police Crime Commissioners Office, we are pleased to announce the launch of our Youth Inclusion Support Project (YISP).
The project will offer young people and their families specialist support workers and mentors.
Services include:
Virtual Mentoring and support Sessions providing:
- Educational Support
- Careers Advice and Guidance
- Support With Anxiety and Stress
- Support for families experiencing hardship
- Health advice
- Social and emotional support
The programme also seeks to offer:
- Family support sessions for those struggling with COVID19 guidelines and the impact on living arrangements
- Support for parents with solution focused on approaches to help them provide support for their families
- Practical support such as arranging food parcel delivery or other essential items
- Supporting young people back into education, employment, or training as the lockdown restrictions are lifted
